Who We Are

What does it mean? OR… How do you say it.? Let me start with how you say it. It is a Spanish word. So the A says ah.  Like “Tra la la la la!” It is not TRAY-ZO! It’s TRAH-SO!! But do not be embarrassed when you say it wrong, because it gives me an opportunity to tell you about the word and why we picked it! When we sat down with the very lovely Candace Joseph to rebrand and build-up what became Trazo Design, the name was the most important. The flagstone of all the remaining conversations. I wanted it to stand alone.

409 South Main

This beautiful space in downtown Memphis, is 409 South Main. David Schuermann, the principal at Architecture, Incorporated, and brothers Ryan and Matt Savage with Metro Construction collaborated on the project. They are doing a spectacular job keeping with the integrity of the building, built in 1912, and improving on much of the original elements. The largest feat was adding an elevator that will go all the way to the rooftop...right now it just stops on the 3rd floor! We are all still working on the first floor set to open this summer.

LibbyLu Office

If you live in Memphis chances are you all have probably received a Christmas card or party invitation that has been designed by LibbyLu Designs in this office! Every time we tell someone what we do they almost always say, “Oh man do I need you! My ______ is so disorganized!” This office was such fun because we were able to follow up on that “Oh Man” comment.

Closet - Concept to Finish

Remember when downtown Memphis was not somewhere you ventured? This project was such fun because this cool couple dove right into being a part of bringing life back to South Main in downtown Memphis! They bought an old building on a busy corner.  Their business is on the bottom level and upstairs they turned the open space into an apartment outfitted for a family of four!
